The Second Edition of SEAP was launched at the World Conference on Statelessness

The Second Edition of the Statelessness Encyclopedia Asia Pacific (SEAP) was launched on February 26, 2024, during the World Conference on Statelessness in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Building on the first edition, this second edition provides the sub-regional overviews on statelessness and has added an overview of the Central Asia sub-region and the Country Factsheets of all the 45 countries in the region.

This edition has been launched in two different versions.

The shortened version incorporates takeaways from the five subregions of Asia Pacific including a detailed analysis of different forms of citizenship acquisition, international human rights obligations, statelessness pledges, and legal safeguards against statelessness. The detailed version includes the Country Factsheets covering all countries in the region.
