NFA’s Executive Director Conducted a Half-day Training session on ‘Legal process of citizenship acquisition in Nepal’, for participants of the Social Work Allies for Sustainable Approaches (SWASA) Nepal

NFA’s Executive Director, Subin Mulmi, organised a half-day training on ‘Legal process of citizenship acquisition in Nepal’ for participants of the Social Work Allies for Sustainable Approaches (SWASA) Nepal on November 23, 2023. The training was attended by more than 20 participants most of whom were sex workers with many not having citizenship certificates. The training is part of a research intended to be led, implemented and analysed by sex workers themselves.The training’s objective was to provide some background on the subject of citizenship and nationality and the various dimensions of citizenship laws and their impact on women and children, especially those without identifiable fathers.
