Nayantara is a human rights lawyer with over a decade of experience in refugee protection, gender and intersectional marginalization. She has previously worked with UNHCR India, processing asylum claims for asylum seekers and stateless individuals fleeing persecution, conflict, and torture. Her work integrated trauma-informed and gender-sensitive approaches to ensure fair and compassionate refugee status determinations. She has coordinated advocacy initiatives for The Inclusivity Project, amplifying the voices of communities discriminated on work and descent across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Europe. She has also worked with Amnesty International India and the Migration & Asylum Project, contributing to advocacy efforts, litigation, and human rights research and documentation at national and international levels. Nayantara holds an LL.M. in Human Rights, Conflict and Justice from SOAS, University of London. Her core area of interest is working with marginalized communities in order to advance equitable policy change and inclusive justice.
