Valeria Caroli is a legal scholar specialising in international and transnational criminal law, with a strong research focus on statelessness and refugee protection under international criminal law. She is in the final stages of a PhD in Law at the University of Leeds, where her thesis explores the protection and accountability frameworks for international crimes against stateless refugees. Valeria has undertaken research for several institutions, including the Canadian Centre on Statelessness and the University of Leeds, and has contributed to international conferences and legal publications. She has taught law and criminology at the University of Glasgow, the University of Manchester, and the University of Leeds. Her work is informed by a multidisciplinary background and a commitment to participatory research methodologies.
