NFA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Coordinator to lead the implementation of our Coalition Building Program, with a focus on supporting the Secretariat functions of the Statelessness and Dignified Citizenship Coalition – Asia Pacific (SDCC-AP). This is a full-time position for a fixed term of five months.

About Nationality For All

Nationality For All (NFA) is a regional organization that promotes the rights of all people affected by statelessness in the Asia-Pacific region, including the right to nationality, through strategic and long-term partnerships. NFA’s work includes partnership building, knowledge building, coalition building, and advocacy, to foster a more cohesive, collaborative, and sustainable approach to addressing statelessness in the region. NFA works closely with persons with lived experience of statelessness and strives to transform the statelessness field to be led by impacted persons by equalizing the power imbalances between them and the other stakeholders.

About the role

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator will oversee the organization’s Coalition Building program, particularly the coordination of the Secretariat support to the Statelessness and Dignfied Citizenship Coalition – Asia Pacific (SDCC-AP).

LocationApplicants must be eligible to work remotely in the Asia Pacific region in their respective home country

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and will range from 2,500 – 3,000 AUD per month.

About the Statelessness and Dignified Citizenship Coalition – Asia Pacific (SDCC‑AP)

Hosted by Nationality For All (NFA), SDCC‑AP is a regional civil society coalition launched on 26 February 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, following consultations in Bangkok (2022) and Kathmandu (2023). It unites activists, researchers, academics, and organizations dedicated to ending statelessness in the Asia-Pacific. The coalition operates across several Working Groups (on values, structure, activities), led by a Steering Committee of seven members, the newly formed Impacted Persons Advisory Group (IPAG) and supported by a Secretariat hosted by NFA.

Mission: To collaborate respectfully and in solidarity to catalyse regional action addressing statelessness and advocating for equal nationality and dignified citizenship .
Vision: A future where every person in the Asia-Pacific has nationality rights and lives with dignity .

Flagship activities include:

  • Lived Experience Fellowship (Aug–Dec 2025) that provides stipends, training, and placement to individuals impacted by statelessness 
  • Quarterly Webinars on issues related to nationality rights and statelessness
  • Human rights advocacy – submissions to human rights treaty bodies, joint statements and direct support to members on their national advocacy

Role & Responsibilities

As Program Coordinator, you will serve as the Secretariat focal point, supporting SDCC‑AP’s Steering Committee to ensure effective operation:

  • Stakeholder coordination & policy drafting: Develop draft coalition policies and revise them with Steering Committee feedback.
  • Program planning: Create Concept Notes and Activity Implementation Plans covering all 2025 activities.
  • Fundraising collaboration: Work with Steering Committee to identify funding sources and support fundraising efforts.
  • Implementation of Activities: Implement the planned activities for this year.
  • Event management: Organize logistics for both virtual and in-person Coalition meetings.
  • Reporting: Prepare periodic and annual narrative reports for UNHCR, and coordinate with Finance & Admin for budget and expenditure reporting.

Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 7 years in human rights or related fields—experience in statelessness or nationality rights preferred.
- Education: Master’s in Law, Human Rights, or relevant Social Science.
- Skills: Strong organizational, written, and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Alignment: Passionate about social justice, inclusion, and regional advocacy.
- Diversity: Applicants with lived experience of statelessness are highly encouraged.
